Zentai Martial Arts partners with Mercy for My Neighbor to support those less fortunate.

Volunteerism and community service are at the core of the Zentai values. Zentai continues to give back by supporting local organizations like Mercy for the Homeless that impact our communities daily.

This humanitarian organization has been feeding the homeless 365 days a year for almost ten years. Founded by Reverend Hilario Crispin, a personal friend of the De Pena’s, they have seen firsthand the honest and life-changing work they have done in the Hudson County area.

Zentai’s support for this organization began years ago when they started volunteering their time to provide warm home-cooked meals for the homeless and donating tote bags filled with toiletries and Christmas cards during the holidays.

Recently the work of Mercy for the Homeless expanded into Mercy for my Neighbor, with the opening of a store located in the Greenville section of Jersey City, that provides clothing, nonperishables, and fresh produce to those less fortunate at absolutely no cost. Master Allen expressed, “When Reverend Crispin asked if we would support this new project, we did not think about it twice. We have seen the immense amount of love and dedication with which the volunteers serve, and we are happy to see this project continue expanding to provide the needs of those less fortunate.”

On behalf of the Zentai Family, Master Allen and Ms. Naomy De Pena presented Reverend Crispin with a financial donation to support the new store. “Any little bit goes a long way for an organization run solely on volunteers, and this is an opportunity to give back and potentially change someone’s life. We are proud to continue joining forces with them to spread kindness and extend a helping hand to the less fortunate,”  stated Ms. Naomy.
